Central Oregon Daily News Story

OUR STORY

With basketball as his first sporting love, Kevin Boss, owner of Boss Sports Performance, always dreamed of creating a way to immerse himself within the game. Since arriving in Bend in 2012, Boss has surrounded himself within the Central Oregon hoops community.

The goal, to create Boss Basketball, had been there for quite some time. Growing up playing in high school, on a travel basketball team, and in college, Boss had a desire to recreate an experience for young people that not only helps them improve their skill level, but prepares them for the rest of their life. When childhood friend Logan Garvin, also a Philomath native, relocated his family to Bend, the Boss Basketball Performance dream became reality.

Launched in the fall of 2020, Boss Basketball strives to bring together and GROW the Central Oregon basketball community through hands-on experiences ranging from camps, clinics, individual and group instruction, and competitive teams.

MISSION

Equip young people with the skills and experience necessary to become the best they can be both on and off the basketball court.
